CD Projekt Red has finally revealed the Cyberpunk 2077 1.3 Update patch notes and they’re pretty substantial — a lot of fixes are coming to this open-world first-person shooter on PC and consoles.

Cyberpunk 2077 is well-known for having quite a few problems with the game. CD Projekt Red had a nice surprise for players yesterday with the announcement of the Cyberpunk 2077 1.3 Update. Although it said that the changes are “not the biggest ones.” it has certainly made up for it in quantity — the next Cyberpunk 2077 patch is going to fix hundreds and hundreds of bugs.

What’s New in the Cyberpunk 2077 1.3 Update Patch Notes?

The Cyberpunk 2077 1.3 Update patch notes are a little difficult to detail in my typical style, simply due to the sheer number of changes that are coming to the game; there truly are an unbelievable amount of fixes for the game’s many issues.

Let’s start with the various missions you play in the game. More than 50 quests and 20 gigs are getting problems sorted out, and many of the quests are getting multiple issues resolved. For instance, here are the bugfixes for the quest “Automatic Love” which takes place within the Clouds club:

  • Fixed an issue that could result in player being unable to exit Clouds because of an invisible barrier.
  • Fixed an issue where Evelyn didn’t despawn from Judy’s workshop after The Information, which resulted in player not being able to talk to Judy because of an invisible wall blocking the way.
  • Fixed an issue where killing the VIP guards in a specific order could result in a disappeared objective and blocked further progression.
  • It will no longer be possible to get stuck inside Clouds by entering without going through the reception desk.

That’s just one quest. Many of the game’s quests are getting multiple issues resolved, largely with a focus on fixing issues that could prevent you from completing a quest Issues with disappearing NPCs or erroneously locked doors are about to be a thing of the past.

Naturally, a massive patch such as this covers other areas, too — there are quite a few quality-of-life changes coming to the game. The number of autosave slots is going up from 10 to 20 and the number of quicksave slots is going up from 3 to 10 on all platforms.

Crafting is improving, too, and it’s getting a quality-of-life improvement of its own: you can now upgrade crafting items in bulk, saving you from having to sit there mashing buttons to make money. A number of recipes have been tweaked, and there have been some balance changes, too, with the removal of a few exploits or issues that made it a little too easy for players to make money with crafting.

CD Projekt Red is also addressing some of the more meme-worthy bugs that have plagued the game since launch. The NCPD will no longer go on alert status simply by seeing a dead body on the street. (Enemy detection is also being otherwise adjusted, making it harder for enemies to find you on easier difficulties and making it more difficult to get away on harder difficulties.) Firing off a gun will also have a lower chance of causing NPCs to crouch in fear forever — more people might actually do the sensible thing and run the heck away.

Finally, CDPR has squeezed in a bit of free DLC including a couple of new jackets, a new car, and an alternative appearance for Johnny Silverhand. There are many, many more details in the full Cyberpunk 2077 1.3 Update patch notes.

If the frequency of bugs or problems upset you enough to take a break from playing, you should seriously take a bit of time and read today’s patch notes — you’re likely to find a fix for a problem that annoyed you during the game. Patch 1.3 should be making its way to PC and consoles soon.

This huge list of changes shows CDPR’s commitment to making things right and fixing the problems with its latest game. If you like what you see, you can buy Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, consoles, and Google Stadia via its official website for $59.99 or your regional equivalent — soon, it will be a very different game.

What’s your favorite change in the Cyberpunk 2077 1.3 Update patch notes? Are you satisfied with CD Projekt Red’s commitment to fixing its game or does it still have a lot of work to do? Let us know in the comments below!
